(Chicago Police Department via chicago.cbslocal.com) David Terrell’s post-NFL story has apparently taken another darkish flip.
The former receiver and noted draft bust has been charged with felony manufacturing or delivery of hashish and a misdemeanor count of battery, in response to several experiences.
ESPN Chicago is reporting that Chicago Police was known as to the Bronzeville part of town after reports of marijuana smoke in the area. Terrell was on the scene and interviewed by police in an space the place cannabis scales and drug paraphernalia have been in sight.
The police report states that Terrell struck the hand of 1 officer after which he was taken into custody, along with two different males. A special police officer was handled at a local hospital after Terrell attempted to resist arrest, the report mentioned.
Terrell’s NFL bio lists his birthday as March 13, 1979, but the police report notes it as April thirteen, 1978. It’s not clear if that was a police error or if Terrell falsified his start date. Bizarre.
This is not the primary run-in with the legislation for the eighth overall choose of the 2001 draft. Terrell previously was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery in 2012 after he allegedly grabbed his ex-girlfriend in his apartment.
Terrell last performed within the NFL with the Broncos in 2005 after stints with the Patriots and Bears, the workforce that drafted him. In 54 career video games, most of which had been with the Bears, Terrell caught 128 passes for 1,602 yards and nine touchdowns.
