Tiger Woods enters this weekend’s Barclays, the initial occasion of this year’s FedEx Cup, as the favourite to win the entire deal as soon as again. And, since it is not a major, he’s probably going to throttle your entire subject and stroll away with another two-comma check.
But it will not be easy, no. Woods has taken his first lumps this playoff season before swinging a single competitive membership. The perpetrator? A delicate resort bed.
Woods skipped drives and approaches on the back 9 of a Wednesday professional-am, saying that he’d suffered the damage the night before. And, sure, somebody asked Woods if he’d have a brand new bed, and Woods simply smiled and answered, “We’ll have something.”
This is the most recent in a spread of injuries that have beset Woods this year, although this seems relatively minor compared to the elbow and back problems that gave him difficulty throughout a lot of the summer season. Woods, naturally, says he’s high-quality now.
Now, earlier than you go make some joke about golfers not being athletes because they can’t even beat up a mushy mattress, needless to say back and neck injuries suck, and the back and neck are form of necessary in golfing situations.
The Barclays begins Thursday, and the FedEx Cup playoffs run until the late-September Tour Championship finale at East Lake in Atlanta.
