A grand jury has indicted former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez on a first-diploma homicide cost in the killing of Odin Lloyd.
Hernandez was arrested and charged with first-diploma murder on June 26.
A grand jury has been investigating the case and speaking to witnesses. Hernandez has been held without bail since his arrest. The indictment also incorporates weapons counts, the AP reported.
Lloyd, a semi-professional football player and affiliate of Hernandez, was shot and killed on June 17 and located in an industrial park close to Hernandez’s house. Hernandez’s attorneys have argued that the case in opposition to him is circumstantial.
Hernandez was scheduled to look in courtroom at a possible trigger hearing on Thursday afternoon.
