A fan has died because of accidents suffered from a fall at Candlestick Park. The fan fell from an elevated walkway shortly after kickoff, and makes an attempt to revive him had been unsuccessful.
San Francisco police stated that multiple people witnessed the autumn, and that the person appeared intoxicated previous to the fall. The person was described as being in his mid-30s, although his identity was withheld to be able to notify family members of his passing.
“The San Francisco 49ers realized that there was a deadly accident outdoors of Candlestick Park previous to as we speak’s game,” the team stated in a press release. “We want to express our deepest condolences to the household during this troublesome time.”
A fan died in the same fall from Atlanta’s Turner Area in August. The 49ers will be leaving Candlestick after this season to take up residence on the Levi’s Center.
