Philadelphia Eagles DT Fletcher Cox was requested Thursday about the Yahoo Sports activities report that he took a flight paid for by Luther Davis, and said that “Whatever happened, occurred.”
According to the investigation by Yahoo’s Rand Getlin and Charles Robinson, Cox was one among 5 gamers who obtained benefits from agents by an intermediary, former Alabama defensive end Davis.
Yahoo discovered that Cox took a flight that was paid for by Davis on January 3 and January 6, 2012. The data included flight receipts and baggage receipts. While the tickets have been purchased for Cox after which-teammates Johnthan Banks and Chad Bumphis, solely Cox and Bumphis took the flights with Davis.
Cox originally declined remark for the Yahoo story. He left Mississippi State after his junior season in 2011.
